Maya is a native of Ukraine. She attended Minsk State Linguistic University in Belarus before she came to New York City as an international exchange student. After living and working in New York City, she moved to Nantucket and has been a full time Nantucket resident since 2005. She fell in love with the island, which she now calls home, and started a family. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Northeastern University. She is a 2013 Nantucket Project Fellow, and is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. She has been working at Lee Real Estate for 11 years and a licensed real estate agent since 2012.
