October Event Calendar

As the island comes to life in April, we have to say goodbye for the season to some in October. October brings one last hurrah to the island before some of the island’s favorite packs it away for a winter of catching up on sleep and planning to do it all over again.

October 8th – October 11th – Cobblestones & Cranberries

Cobblestones & Cranberries is a shop local initiative presented by the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce. Dozens of Nantucket local shops participate to encourage shopping local and supporting small businesses. Check out their website to learn more about this great event!

October 9th – Nantucket’s Cranberry Festival

Nantucket’s Cranberry Festival is one of our favorite events of the fall and is enjoyed by adults and children alike! The festival is hosted at the Milestone Cranberry Bog from 11am to 4pm on Columbus Day Weekend. Visitors will learn about the history of cranberry farming on Nantucket, participate in demonstrations and family activities, and sample cranberry treats and other New England classics! Admission is free, parking costs $20 per car.

October 31st – A Very Nantucket Halloween

Halloween is every kids favorite holiday and on Nantucket it’s no different! The kids of Nantucket gather on Main Street for an afternoon of trick-or-treating and holiday fun. Businesses in town give away candy to kids trick-or-treating and there is a parade to show off everyone’s costumes!
