Say Hi To Santa
It wouldn’t be Christmas Stroll without Santa! Santa arrives by Coast Guard vessel at Straight Wharf on Saturday morning and will parade up Main Street. You can get a picture with Old Saint Nick and tell him all your Christmas wishes!
Take in a Holiday Production
Both White Heron Theater and Theatre Workshop have holiday shows opening Thanksgiving Weekend. White Heron Theater is putting up A Nantucket Christmas Carol, running November 25th – December 4th. Check out their website for tickets and show details. The Theatre Workshop is putting up Plaid Tidings, running from November 26th to December 4th. Tickets are still available and can be found here. Break a leg to all the actors, we can’t wait to cheer you on!
The Festival of Trees
Get out of the cold and stop in at the Whaling Museum on Broad Street to check out the Festival of Trees! The museum is fully decked out in holiday cheer with hundreds of trees decorated by islanders to celebrate the holiday. The museum is open Monday-Saturday from 10am to 4pm and is free for members and island residents. Learn about the island’s whaling history and enjoy the holiday cheer. Keep your eyes peeled for LRE’s Christmas Tree and if you find it, send us a picture!
Eat, Drink & Be Merry
This island has no shortage of great places to eat and drink — and Stroll weekend is no exception. Some of our island favorites will re-open for the holiday weekend. Check out our guide of where to eat and drink over the weekend! The only thing we say is if there is a specific place you have to eat, make a reservation! It’s going to be a busy weekend and we don’t want you to miss out
