Checking In:
If you are earlier than 3:00 PM please respect the cleaners window of time to prepare the house for your occupancy. If the house is ready, please settle in. If not, please come back at 3:00 PM.
Please notify your agent if you are not satisfied with the cleanliness of the house at the time of check-in. We must be notified within 24 hours of your arrival if there is any damage for which you are not responsible or if you are not satisfied with the rental property.
Checking Out:
Check out time is 10:00 AM. Please, no exceptions without your agent's authorization. Because of the short turnover time we rely on all tenants to cooperate and respect the check out time. Per your lease, you are expected to leave the house "in the condition upon which occupancy was taken, all laundry to be left clean and ready for the next tenant to occupy." The cleaners estimate an average time to prepare the house for the next tenant and any cleaning hours in excess of the average will be charged against your security deposit.
Keys:
Please return the keys to Lee Real Estate before you leave the island. Please drop them into the brochure box on our steps at 58 Main Street or just inside our door on the second floor. There is a $25 fee if keys are not returned to the office.
Security Deposit:
The owner will return your security deposit within 60 days of your departure. Any charges incurred will be itemized and deducted from the deposit.
Recycling:
Recycling is mandatory on Nantucket. Please use clear plastic bags for the trash; please note that green, black or white trash bags are not acceptable. Glass in one plastic bag by itself and plastics, aluminum and tin in a second clear plastic bag. Please remove all trash from the house and place it in the proper receptacle.
Phone Service:
The area code (508) must be used when making all on island calls. There is no charge for local calls. Your property may have a block on the long distance service therefore a credit card must be used.
